Can HAL be used with trailing edge or leading edge dimmers

HAL is a leading edge dimmer that will drive leading edge compatible transformers.
Most electronic transformers currently available are suitable for leading and trailing edge operation.
Trailing edge dimming is used more frequently in Europe - leading edge tends to be used more in the UK.

Advantages

Some people specify trailing edge dimming because it operates without the buzzing of some leading edge dimmers.
This is only an issue generally with 'plate' dimmers. HAL being a remote dimming pack with 0 -10 volt cabling does not have noise issues.
Leading edge dimmers (such as we use with HAL) is a less complex product and is more efficient in terms of running cost.
