Setting Scenes with HAL IR4-4 8 Button Master Control
Right-hand buttons
These are the 4 channel (or circuit) buttons. Each of the right-hand button raises and lowers the illumination level of a single connected lighting circuit or can be used to turn circuit on or off. To adjust the level of a channel (or circuit), press and hold the selected button – the light level will raise and then lower in slow succession - release the button once the desired level has been achieved. If desired ‘double-clicking’ the selected button during the raising and lowering of light levels will quickly change direction of level raising or lowering - again releasing the button once desired lighting level has been achieved. To turn a lighting circuit on or off – press the selected channel button momentarily and the lighting will turn on or off.
Left-hand buttons
These are the Scene (or Mood) buttons. They allow the user to store and memorise four favourite lighting scenes selected from differing light levels chosen and selected from the four right hand channel buttons.
Setting a scene
Firstly select and press one of the four left hand scene buttons (the button will illuminate blue once pressed) – then press each of right-hand channel buttons in turn as described above to adjust channels to desired light-levels. Press the previously selected left hand scene button once more but now hold the button down for 4 seconds, its blue LED will flash (with lighting levels briefly reverting to previous settings) – the selected scene button will then ‘latch’ and store your chosen settings with the blue LED now illuminated continuously, confirming storage to the selected scene button. To create further scenes, simply repeat the same process for each of the three remaining left hand scene buttons.
To switch a scene on
Press the selected left-hand scene button; blue LED illuminates, indicating selection.
To switch the system off Press the illuminated scene button and the scene and lighting circuits will extinguish.
NB Infra-red receiver is in centre of control plate. Memory settings are unaffected by mains power failure
